The Early Admission Program is for qualifying high school students who have applied to and been accepted to Baker University’s College of Arts and Sciences (CAS). Learn more about admission to CAS.
Qualifying students will be pre-admitted to the School of Nursing as freshmen, eliminating the need to compete with the applicant pool as juniors. A similar program for early admission is available for freshmen college students with no more than 17 credit hours.
The program provides qualified applicants a seamless transition from prerequisites and general education courses to completion of the nursing major. These students will complete all of their prerequisites on the Baker CAS campus and when ready for entry into the nursing program will not be required to compete and interview for a slot in the entering class.
Students who have taken their prerequisites from the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) will be eligible for priority admission to the School of Nursing if they meet the following criteria in addition to meeting admission requirements as stated in the current School of Nursing catalog at the time of application.
Applicants who do not meet criteria for priority admission will be considered for admission with all other applicants.
